After many years of the human race being the strongest species in the planet, doom came to earth in the form of a deity that resembled humans. It did not come in peace, so it arrived with the sole purpose to slain mankind, as a way to punish them for all the atrocities they had brought to the rest of the species in the planet.
Once the punishment had concluded, the deity retreated. So for the moment, the world was freed of any human trace, and a new era had begun where the selection for the new strongest species had just started. This time the evolution leap took an interesting turn, because it did not throw out only one ruling species but two. Such species were descendants from a common ancestor, one that in ancient times was human´s best companion, the pet dog.
These two ruling species were likely similar but they had an important and contrasting difference, one species was carnivorous and day walker, while the other species was vegan and night walker. These two species cohabitated for a long time without major issues, but as the time passed both species started to invade each other´s territory in order to become the only ruling species, once again to repeat what humans did in the past with the others creatures to acquire supremacy among them all.
When the battle started among these two species, many other creatures detached from the issue were caught and killed between the massacre riots brought by this war. At the end when the conflict was almost over the same deity that once slayed humans showed again, but in that occasion it not only slain the species involved in the conflict but it also did the same with most of the creatures on the planet.
The earth, now a giant, almost unoccupied planet has been left as a warning to the remaining species to think twice before competing for the supremacy of the planet and start getting along with the other creatures to preserve a mutual peace among them and ensure the preservation of their existence.

Compare/ Contrast Essay
Windows Environment vs. Linux Environment
Outline
I.-Introduction
II.-Brief review of two of the most used OS
III.-Similarities
a) Operating systems
b) Productive tools
c) Multimedia capabilities
d) Internet Browsing capabilities
IV.-Differences
a) Base code programming
b) Visual interface
c) User friendliness
d) Devices compatibility
V.-Conclusion
Many people nowadays have a pc at home for leisure or work purposes. But even if the latter is true no too many people know which software environment they are running on. For practical purposes many people or most of people only look for a product that works and that allows them to finish their tasks in a quicker way, they do not even care which kind of system they are using. So the following essay will focus on talking about two of the operating systems (OS) used commonly by some groups in society.
Among the two operating systems used by most of society, we can find on one side the Microsoft creation known as Windows which has a price in order to use the software license, and by the other side we have Linux an open-software, which is a free-license software system. Windows is nowadays the most used system by people who have no interest in going deeper with technology and programming issues, it is for people who seek for something simple to use. Another popular system is the one based on Linux mainly because it is free to use, but not so many people use it because it is a bit hard to handle, because the user himself/herself has to know several computer commands in order to have a functional pc based on Linux.
Once both systems have been briefly presented I will write the similarities they share. As I have previously stated both of the systems presented are operating systems, which serve us humans to perform any task and activity we propose to do. If we talk about using pc as a tool, it can be said that both systems will enable us to make any work because both systems have a productive kit, in the case of windows we have Microsoft Office (paid license), and in the case of Linux we have Open Office (free of charge). In both productive kits the user can make use of set of tools relatively alike that include from word processors to slide presenters. Another remarkable aspect is that both systems can be used as a multimedia set. On Windows we have Windows Media Player which easily plays any kind of video and audio format; on the other side with Linux we have several video and audio players free to be downloaded by the user, and as in the case with Windows, any audiovisual format can also be played. Another quality that both systems have in common is the ability to connect to internet networks for browsing the web or for chatting purposes.
The main differences between these two systems will be explained in this paragraph. The main difference of these two systems can be found on the way they were programmed, more specifically on their source code, Windows is based on a code named C++, while Linux is a mixture of several codes including C++. The visual interface known as UI (user interface) is different in each system, while the one used by Windows is not user adjustable; the one provided by Linux is fully adaptable to the user. Another two significant differences and mainly the reasons why people tend to draw on to the easier system is the user friendliness, as well as the device compatibility, the first one is mainly an issue when we refer to Linux and its versions because the use of it requires to know more complex things to take advantage of all its functions, while in Windows everything is ready to be used by any type of people, no set up is involved. The second issue happens in both systems but is more common in Linux, as it is not supported by any hardware builder, so the workarounds to make hardware work are made by people inside the Linux community.
Nowadays there are indeed many operating systems, but as it has been said the most common ones are Windows and Linux, each one with their similarities and differences, but in the end it will depend on the user to choose which fit with his/her needs and likes on any purpose they seek to accomplish by its use, either work or spare time.

Argumentative essay
DEATH PENALTY: CRUEL MURDER OR JUST PUNISHMENT
Outline
I.-Introduction.
II.-Get relief for the victims´ relatives.
a) Attitude towards victims´ assailant punishment.
III.-Suppress criminal actions.
a) Benefits of capital punishment to wellbeing of victims` families.
b) Criminal intents avoidance derived from capital punishment.
IV.-People can not chose who lives or who dies.
V..-Conclusion.
As humans appeared on earth, they have always been assailants to other for no apparent reason. As society evolved rules and regulations came to order to avoid these events, several ways to constrain human violence among each other were set. Such restrictions extend across spending some years in prison or to be submited to the most severe punishment: A death sentence. The latter is the conviction given to the meanest of the meanest criminals whom a simple or lesser sentence will not be enough to stop their felonies. But whether they deserve it or not is not an easy choice to make.
In the current society of our days, several people tend to believe that by allowing the capital punishment many people lives could be safe through the process. By doing the former people say that criminals will think about their actions prior doing them or taking action on them, preventing criminals from even to carry them on further. But in most cases that way of thinking does not apply, because criminals do not reflect about the consequences of their actions, they just act as if it were an inner animalistic instinct. The real reason of why wrongdoers do not care about their actions is because during the moment, they only act by anger, by a moment of passion, or simply because of total craziness. William Bowers (2009), criminologist, concluded that: “death penalty has the opposite effect: that is, society is brutalized by the use of the death penalty, and this increases the likelihood of more murder.”So as experts says it might benefit the victims´ relatives but, on the other hand it might create anger and hatred among those who are sentenced or will be.
People in general are also in favor of death penalty because they have come to believe that a just society requires it, in order to take a free-violence day to day life. They act with retaliation, because people think that as someone takes a life the common steadiness of justice is troubled, meaning that in order to maintain equilibrium, some killers must die. From my personal point of view this misconception that people have will only lead them to become into what they are fighting against: an unending sequence of unfair murders, where many people will die unreasonably. Death penalty is not about taking a life, is also about having the respect and cherish one. It is true that by permitting the death penalty to be carried out many criminals would step back, but while the process is done another life is taken. So no matter how many efforts the people in charge of politics do, the execution of a wrongdoer will not be the answer to be finished with delinquency. Regarding about this, we have to learn to live without revenge and feels of payback, because we cannot end violence with violence. By allowing executions we are not solving anything; instead we are becoming the issue.
To conclude, opponents say that the risk of killing innocent people precludes the use of death penalty. They say that having based on the numerous research, evidence and proof they have with them, but no matter if they count with all the information needed to sentence a person, there will always be a minor mistake, which will send an innocent one to a certain death. But even if the former were to happen, for the ones in charge of the punishment, it will not matter, because according to them by killing him/ her they are saving quantities of lives.
Capital punishment has its pros and cons. But even if it has more pros than cons, it should not be allowed to give someone election over a life which is not own to end. So it does not matter if the person is not human, is less human the one who takes his/ her life, because no one is superior to anyone to take or to finish with a life. Taking into account the latter is not in our hands to choose who dies or who lives.

Descriptive essay
Our troublesome family trip
Outline
I.-Introduction
II.-Our trip planning
a) My initial preparations.
III.-Events occurred while packing the bags.
a) My expectations and my good mood disrupted.
IV. - The trip is delayed.
a) The bus breakdown and our delayed departure.
b) Finally on the road to our trip.
V.-Conclusion
Many people have travelled within their own country and abroad, tasting themselves new flavors that might had aroused new sensations that that they never had experienced before. Travelling is indeed a jolly experience that most people have tried throughout their lives, being able to feel new winds blowing their faces, to be able to observe new, unknown cultures and being also able to reach new, interesting and gentle people, is something pretty rewarding once it has been experienced by oneself.
It is Monday, a nice warming day, a little cloudy, but indeed a gorgeous day; I wake up early, still sleepy with my eyelids almost closed, I turn to see my clock on top of the wall just to realize that it is pretty late, so I try to rush and get prepared for my upcoming trip. I come out from my scrambled and messy room to face and say Hi! To my early riser parents, who await for me at the wide and spacious kitchen table. We gather around the big, well-organized table in order to enjoy a healthy, luscious meal prepared by my kind and loving mom. So once we finished eating we retired quickly from the now dirty table, with our bursting filled stomachs ready to prepare our huge brand new travelling bags.
While I was setting my bag, I start thinking about the upcoming travel. I try to vaguely imagine how enjoyable and enriching this trip will be, I even picture myself staying at an unfamiliar, but at the same time cool hotel, talking with people considerably different and uncommon from myself. But then I snap out from my daydreaming because I start to hear the noisy alarm of my lazy sister´s cell phone playing and irritating song. So once I come back to my senses, I continued packing my bag and hurry to be in time at the white, welcoming front door of my palace, while my parents have a nightmarish struggle trying to avoid my clumsy and feeble sister delay us from our travel departure.
Once on the road, we arrived to the crowded bus station, it was almost and barely impossible to walk through the wave of people that surrounded us, but we got on time. Staying at the bus station we realized that our bus has had a serious breakdown, It is leaking considerably amounts of oil, so the friendly, short bus driver tell us to wait at the trim waiting room alongside a filthy grocery shop, which undoubtedly attracts my sister´s attention. Later as soon as the neat and humble bus has been fixed, we place ourselves on the way to ride the bus ascending through the rusty little steps while the rude loader grabs our bags from our hands, and stores them in the narrow bus trunk. Once in the bus, I found my seating place, sat down on my comfortable seat, lied down my head and as soon as I got cozy, the exhausted friendly and short bus driver put the bus on the way to our destination.
Everybody has travelled to several places once or many times during his or her life. Some of these trips have been sometimes worthwhile, sometimes troublesome, but indeed deserving of our leisure time, in order to get to know new interesting and wide cultures, new gentle, or rude people, and moreover, exciting and amazing sights worth seeing. So if you feel bored and think your life is too flat, be free to spend some time travelling, it might be a stimulating activity, you will not regret about it.

III.-My use of electronic technologies in the future.
To get to know about the new technologies that arise till then.
To facilitate my teaching according to the new generation of students.
To become aware of the new trends.
In ancient times people used to struggle with several common tasks such as writing a message, storing data and making it available to one or several recipients in a way that it did not involve too many steps to make it possible to be sent. So as the time past human race looked for ways to facilitate all those procedures in a more effective and quicker way than before. And all that became possible once humans improved their technologies.
In my early years, I was completely illiterate regarding to electronic matter, I was a mere boy with no purposes to use those technologies, mainly because I was not aware of their existence. As I was growing and started my school courses, I was introduced to pc´s and then taught to use them first with puzzles and games designed for the PC mainly oriented to little children. Later when I enrolled to the junior high school I was taught how to use school programs, such as Microsoft Windows environment as well as its productivity software, because at that time the teachers already wanted students to be able to deliver their school assignments in a more formal way, instead of having them delivered in a handwritten form. Also during my junior high school stage, I was taught to search the web, event that helped me with my academic assignments at that moment. Furthermore, it allowed me later to communicate with people overseas, and at the same time to know more about other trends and cultures.
Nowadays, I am more literate concerning electronic technologies, it could be said that I am more involved on the matter. The electronic technologies besides making my current work more easier, has also allowed me to enhance my use and knowledge of the English language. Moreover taking English courses in the school, I feel that using electronic devices and surfing the web have made me improved my grammar as well as the acquisition of more vocabulary. But the latter had not only helped by improving my native and foreign language, it has also allowed me to facilitate daily tasks. The use of the current trends and technological advances have also made me capable to finish my work more quickly, as well as to communicate with anybody anywhere.
In the future I expect the technologies to suit me when it comes for me to teach, to provide me the tools to deliver a meaningful teaching, all that in the professional matter. In other issues I want to become able to manage all the upcoming technologies, as well as to become aware of the new technologies that facilitate my professional work as well as my leisure time.
To conclude I must say that as humanity evolves, the methods and ways to communicate also do. So no matter which language people speak there will be always a way to shape communication, all thanks to technology. So then humanity will not struggle as long as technology moves forward at the same time.

Introductory essay
I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on November 3rd 1988. I am the second of three children. I had my pre-academical studies there in Jalisco, and at the age of 7, I moved with my whole family to the state of Aguascalientes, once both of my parents finished with all working relation at that moment. So once I arrived to Aguascalientes, I continued with my studies and my life until nowadays.
I began my life being a happy little boy with lots of wishes and goals, willing to become someone in life. Later on, I enrolled to the elementary school as many of the children of the age, where I had my first contact with education, where I soon realized that I really liked to study even if it was hard. Besides studying during my childhood stage; I attended to events such as my mother and father´s sibling’s weddings and my first communion when I turned 10. Also during my childhood years, I had too many accidents, the ones that I remember the most, were the ones caused by my reckless actions that as any boy used to commit at that age. One of those were when I split my head open, once in the front side and one in the back side. The first one occurred while I was staying at my aunt´s house; I was playing indoor football with my cousins and suddenly I stumbled with a misplaced rug and fell down onto a sharp edge end of one of the living room furniture. The second one happened at a waterpark, when I was coming out from the pool I tripped, fell backwards and cracked my head open right in the nape. Also during this step, I travelled lots of times; I travelled mainly to national beaches like Acapulco, Manzanillo, and Puerto Vallarta. So to summarize I had a happy childhood indeed.
Nowadays in this step of my life I had faced the most disappointing moment, which was my retreat from my first major, an engineering focused on computer software development, the BA was actually named as Computer Science Major. I drop out of that major because my knowledge on the matter was not enough for me to fit with what the career really demanded, so I struggled with several subjects because I was not enough prepared to study them. Once I passed through that bitter moment of my life, I retried again for another major, which had no business with the previous one, because in that particular case, the major chosen was mainly focused on English teaching as a second language, a choice that was deeply far from what I had chosen before. I am currently taking this major which is actually known as ELT, A major which I had coursed by a year and a half, and I had come to develop a like for it. Moreover my current studies, I had been practicing a new sport known as Parkour by some ones, and known as Free running by other. It is a sport pretty different and more complete than the ones known by me, so that is why I had kept practicing it until now. I had had also among my present activities, a freelance job doing pc maintenance. And as far as I know my life remains the same until now.
What I hope for the future is concentrated on several goals. On one hand to be successful with the professional matter and all the things that come with, such as being a good English teacher, a translator or an interpreter; but that will only be possible if I work hard and try to be the best. On the other hand, to focus on my personal life; to find someone to spend my life with and to possibly shape a family. But as many people say: "No one is owner of its own destiny". So I do not know what might the future would have for me.
So to conclude I must say that if someone is expecting to fulfill his / her goals, in this case I have to make an enormous effort and never give up. The person has to see back and realize what factors made him/ her the person who is nowadays, in order to be able to discern what they are capable of, and then become able to reach his or her own objectives.
